Lease Analyst
Job Description
MRP is looking for a Lease Analyst to join our growing Asset Management team. The selected individual will be responsible for abstracting, reporting lease data, assisting with underwriting, financial modeling, and reconciling NNN expenses with tenants throughout the life cycle of the asset.
Responsibilities
- Underwrite potential new deals
- Process relevant data into financial model
- Reviewing due diligence Items related to the transaction
- Adjust future projections and return data
- Update models throughout the life of an investment
- Adjust leases, NNN reimbursements, and expenses on assets
- Analyze potential new leases or dispositions against projected returns
- Complete annual NNN reconciliations
- Processing/calculating reconciliations
- Billing and sending backup to tenants
- Abstract & Manage Lease data
- Entering lease data into Yardi (New Leases, Amendments, Letter Agreement etc.)
- Reporting on lease data (Expirations, Rents, Options, Clauses etc.)
- Setting up rent charge schedules and reviewing any rent charge discrepancies
- Assist with creating annual property budgets (as needed)
- Assist with confirming the closing statement for acquisitions/dispositions
- Calculating closing prorations (rental, security deposit etc.)
- Completing and/or reviewing year-to-date reconciliations
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of Commercial Real Estate experience (Analyst experience preferred)
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience reading and analyzing real estate leases
- Experience in understanding underwriting for acquisitions and dispositions
- A firm understanding in finance
